DEBORAH BROWN

Deborah Brown is a strategic communications professional with more than 25 years of agency and nonprofit experience. Her areas of expertise include content and message development, media relations, crisis communications, consulting, strategic communications plans, thought leadership campaigns, and executive coaching. Recently, Deborah was a partner and CMO at communications and marketing agency Peppercomm. In addition to handling marketing initiatives and major service offerings for the agency, Deborah managed accounts across multiple industries, including healthcare, technology, industrial, consumer, education, financial services and professional services, for nearly two decades. Deborah previously worked for Technology Solutions, where she managed a number of technology accounts and led the media relations effort for the historic and award-winning IBM Deep Blue chess match. Deborah also worked at two small agencies and a nonprofit organization. Deborah received the Account Director of the Year award from PR News and Agency Professional of the Year: Bronze from Bulldog Stars of PR. Deborah is an adjunct professor, teaching communications at Stern College for Women, Yeshiva University, and guest lectures on communications at Baruch College. She served on the board of the NY chapter of the American Lung Association and was a member of the NY Tech Council.
